You’ll find a winter wonderland of traditional Christmas scenes, holiday movie favorites, and even familiar cartoon characters.

A Long-Standing Family Holiday Tradition

The tradition began over 34 years ago and has grown every year since then. Many families make this event an annual Christmas tradition. For more than three decades, the St. Albans Festival of Lights at City Park has attracted thousands of visitors from near and far to see the dazzling lights and holiday scenes that light up the city park property.

The festival is open nightly from 6 pm to 9 pm through December 26th. The St. Albans Christmas light display has been a favorite family holiday tradition for 34 years and attracts thousands of visitors yearly.

How long is the St. Albans Festival of Lights Open?

The event is every night from 6 pm to 9 pm through December 26th. We are closed on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day to ensure our crew members enjoy family time. The event will reopen on December 26th at 6 pm.

The best time to see this festive drive-through exhibit is right when they open up at 6 pm or just before dark during peak hours. We recommend that you plan your visit accordingly so you can get in line early and not miss any of the light displays.

How much does it cost to drive through the Lights?

There is no cost to driving through the Christmas lights. We welcome small or canned food donations that assist us in maintaining the event’s operations and helping our local food banks.

Can you walk through the light displays?

Our event is open to vehicle traffic only. We do not allow pedestrians to walk through the event for safety reasons. Our walking tour event is the only time foot traffic is allowed through the festival.

Our event wouldn’t be complete without some holiday music provided by WWSA 96.9 FM in St. Albans. Classic favorites and contemporary holiday hits make for the perfect backdrop to take in the light display.
